…a few bowls of rice! was a pretty good graphic novel and a neat concept having each page be one panel. (which unfortunately makes for a super quick read.) But still pretty awesome nonetheless since every page was super clear to read and a pin-up per page has some pretty awesome appeal!

This was supposed to be a warm-up to work on my comix but ended up being all I drew that night. (no clue what night, time keeps slipping as usual for me.) Haven’t really nailed this “warm-up” thing but I know its essential to get the good work outta ya.

I’ve got quite a few comic concepts to share with ya but I think I’ll hold off until I get a little more done with ‘em. So hold tight!!! O_O;

Just a quick warm-up sketch/fanart of Hip Flask. The art/character design has really influenced me and Ladronn’s work continues to inspire. I might keep going with random warm-up sketches while I work on my comics for Fan Expo. Roughly 30 mins or so.

Thought I’d throw up a little teaser of my OGN. At least headshot of who the main character will be. My goal is to finish this beast by christmas!

You can speculate all you want about what the DDD stands for. heh heh. The next thing I’ll post will be the finished model sheets. I’m about half way done those.

Haven’t updated in a while so I thought I’d throw up something for shits and giggles. Heh heh, back when I used to think I could do all my drawings on my netbook. Umm..yeah…not my brightest moment!

I’ve been drawing SO much stuff lately but I can’t show any of it cuz it’s all related to my OGN (orignal graphic novel) and I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag too soon. But I will…soon, someday soonish!

Comic Hobo

I love trying to picture how people make comics. Another one of my obsessions! I’d love to be a hobo dude who just made comics all day instead of being in the rat race of an 8-5 job. So here’s what I’d picture I might look like. Ink stained hands, crazy hair/beard, comics all around and a lantern to see what I’m doodling. Not sure if he’s supposed to be in a cave or not but you’ll have to use your imagination for that!

BPRD and Thor-Frog!!!

Just some sketches I felt like doing up! BPRD is probably my favourite comic series of all time so I just did this quickie while chillin’ with ALisa yesterday. The Thor-Frog (of Throg) was just too cool of a character for me to pass up drawing. Plus I wanted to try out some brush and ink techniques to get me set up for my comic. Throg was done with a sumi brush (which I don’t like at all!) and the BPRD piece was done with the pentel brush pen. So far I’m not in love with either but I bought some cheap sable hair brushes and I’m gonna try those out soon.

I’ll let you know how that goes! heh heh
